Gig Review: Lost Tuesday Society, Sarah Passmore & Curious Orange
The Garage, Swansea

"When the headliners took to the stage there was a hush of expectation. ... The Lost Tuesday Society are true professionals and the new rhythm section of Simon and Jay give the band a meatier, almost rock sound. ... For the next hour they drove the crowd wild with a frenetic, driven and magical performance. Alfie and Jamie feed off each other in an almost organic frenzy while Darran gave some great guitar lines, particularly on the new (as yet unreleased) single 'I Can See...' Sarah is the ultimate front (wo)man. She seems to hold your gaze when she sings with that crystal clear voice. There's a beautiful vulnerability about her which belies the creative tempest going on around - it's like watching someone caught up in the eye of a storm. A storm which she has no trouble taming."

Laugharne Weekend Fringe Experience Review

"The much anticipated Lost Tuesday Society, who have shared the same stages with artists such as Paolo Nutini and Sister Sledge, to name but a few, completely captivated the audience. With strong vocals from Sarah Birch and an incredible array of instruments, riffs and solos, it was clear why their new, self-titled album which was produced by Joe Gibb (The Kinks, David Bowie) has been received with such excitement. Lost Tuesday Society are definitely a band to look out for."

Single Review: 'Constant State Of...'

"Soft and enticing vocals are only a small part of the magic this band weave on this track. The guitars also play their part, dancing lightly, flickers of light bounce across the 70s vibe soundscape. The lyrics are hopeful with slight hints at melancholy which comes through in the sincerity of the beautiful vocal."

The Lost Tuesday Society are a collective who come from a variety of differing musical backgrounds, and therefore bring with them a range of influences.

‘Constant State Of...’ is the second single released from their self-titled album, produced by the legendary Joe Gibb (David Bowie, The Kinks, Catatonia, Leftfield, Moulettes). The album has been received fantastically by the Lost Tuesdays' loyal fan base, and is reaching further afield thanks to iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and other online media sources. The album artwork was kindly donated by the well-respected London-based artist Mr Dan Hillier, who designed the iconic art on Royal Blood’s debut number one album.

To date, the band have graced the stage with the likes of Paolo Nutini, Pete Doherty, Sister Sledge, Alabama 3, Moulettes, Gabby Young and Other Animals, Labi Siffre, Big Sir, The Real Thing, and Mica Paris, to name but a few.

Writing original material, comparisons have been made to early Fleetwood Mac among others, and the album's concentration on intricate musical composition and strong melody lines pays its homage unintentionally to 70’s folk and rock with enough edge to bring the songs into the modern day. Because of this, the music appeals to people of all ages and all walks of life. ‘Constant State Of...’ perfectly showcases the band’s knack for delivering credible, infectious music whilst encapsulating the band’s own brand of alternative folk appeal.
